Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. First Edition, First Printing. A first edition, first printing (so stated) signed by Col. Robert Morgan, USAFR, Ret. Inscribed to Anjelica Huston: "To Angelica in memory of John Huston (a great man). Robert Morgan." Both book and dust jacket are in Near Fine condition, with the faintest hint of shelf wear, negligible. Dust jacket with price intact and protected in archival cover. Direct signature across the title page. The inscription to famed actress Anjelica Huston makes this edition quite unique and unusual for a collector. The Memphis Belle, a Boeing B-17F Flying Fortress, was the famous aircraft used during World War II, for a total of 25 missions. Major Robert Morgan piloted the heavy bomber. Both pilot and aircraft inspired two films: a 1944 documentary, "Memphis Belle: A Story of the Flying Fortress," and the 1990 Hollywood film, "Memphis Belle." The aircraft is on display at the National Museum of the United States Air Force. Anjelica Huston is famed for a numerous acting roles, including her fantastic portrayal of Morticia Addams. Huston has stated that some of her favorite books as a young child included the cartoons of Charles Addams and she would pretend to be Morticia as a young girl. She released a book in 2013, "A Story Lately Told: Coming of Age in Ireland, London, and New York," where she explored her relationship with her father, John Huston. Dust jacket in Near Fine condition in archival cover.
