Light brown leather boards, wear to corners, darkened cross-banded and decorated leather to spine which has cracking and surface fissures, outer hinges cracked. Browned/discoloured end-papers, ink name/address to each title-page, occasional brown spots to pages and some foxing to frontispieces and illustrations pages.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Three complete plays bound in one volume. Six illustrated plates. First edition thus. Duodecimo, half bound in green leather with gilt lettering and design along the spine, marbled boards, top edge gilt, marbled endpapers. Light edge wear, leather portions are mostly faded to brown, occasional foxing throughout text block, else very good. Binding is sound and tight.

Condition: Very Good. Hardback. Single volume of 8 comedy plays collected from spearate volumes of The British Theatre. Bound together, each with frontis, in contemporary half-leather over marbled boards, rubbed and chipped but sound, a few pages slightly marked, otherwise very good.

Spine has gilt lettering on black leather which is however badly cracked and portions have flaked away. Despite flaws, still a marvellous piece of theatre history.
