A well-illustrated promotional booklet with a lengthy text that provides details on the public works, industry, climate and natural resources, and agricultural potential of the… region. The final few pages offer statistics for the year 1902 on crop yields and income from the sale of fruit harvested by local growers. The booklet is profusely illustrated with photographs of homes, businesses and public buildings in Chico and Butte County, including the Sperry Flour Mills, the Park Hotel, Chico Cannery, the Bidwell Mansion, the Sierra Lumber Company Mill, and much more. Rocq 1378. Wrappers a bit spotted and dusty, mild crease to front cover, a very good copy. OCLC reports eight copies: Yale University, Columbia University, New York, California Historical Society, California State Library, the Huntington Library, and University of California, Berkeley, Davis and Los Angeles.
