N. Chernetsov and his wife, Wanda Moszynska (who accompanied him on almost all field trips), deals with the sequence of cultures that occupied the lower -- that is, the northern -- reaches of the Ob River basin and, in considerable detail, with Ust-Poluy, a type-site of great importance for the early cutlural phases of western Siberia.
