Folio Press imprint is part of the publishing arm of 'The Folio Society'. Folio Press was developed to be able to make titles available to the trade and public since The Folio Societ…y, originally operated as a membership based book club. Profusely illustrated in full page lithographs by Charles Keeping. This translation and introduction by Denny appears to be the same used in the Folio Society editions. Bound in full black cloth; Grey textured cloth wraps around the front board. Printed illustration on covers is unmarred and clean. Gilded lettering on spine is very readable and shiny despite this being exposed for the last 50+ years. Slip case is fully intact but lightly soiled and rubbed, especially on corners. Interior pages clean without writing, creases, or tears. Binding tight as if never read only displayed. Book is over sized (6.5" W by 11"L), has 1,100 pages and it is very dense/ heavy- additional shipping may be required. Note: We use "Fine" book condition judiciously; only when the book exhibits no flaws. A Fine book closely approaches 'As New' condition and may not have been previously owned.
