    Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Poor. Revised edition. 252pp, with black and white plate frontispiece, further black and white plate illustrations and fold-out map at rear. Blue cloth-covered boards, gilt-stamped lettering on the spine. 8vo. Cloth is a little rubbed and rounded on corners and ends of a lightly faded spine. Text block edges a little dull and spotted. Previous owner's name neatly inked on the front free endpaper else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original worn, torn and faded dust wrapper, torn into two parts along front joint, chapped around edges, with tear and minor loss at base of a sunned spine, some visible shelf wear. An account of this history of Greece and its archaeology, designed to prepare the traveller to Greece for what they might see and learn there.
