Condition: Fair. hardcover in beige boards with Sefton coat of arms in gold gilt on front cover board, 520 pages with 17 full page plates and 32 illustrations in the text, fold out illustration showing pedigree of the Crosby branch of the Blundell family, well preserved inner hinges and period signature on FEP dated 1…893, this book annotated under the scrutiny of research scholar Charles Grant Ellis with neatly penciled reference notes in margins of some illustrations, Mr. Ellis has applied his bookplate hand dated 1937 to the inside of the cover board and his signature in gold gilt to cover, his family has applied a small transparent label beneath the bookplate, the cover boards show age tone along the edges, the spine has darkened with chipping and a separation to the front cover edge.
