Condition: Fine. First Edition. First edition. One of 1500 copies with signed etching. 4to. Linen over boards, slipcased with tie. 88 + 96pp, 1 CD + 1 DVD and numbered etching signed by Van Vliet in pencil. Fine overall condition. Very light wear to both discs, playing fine. A deluxe multimedia tribute to the artist Don Van Vliet and his musical alter ego, Captain Beefheart-- king of outsider musicians. The set consists of two books by Van Vliet: Splinters (photos, poetry, and drawings) and the titular volume which focuses exclusively on his paintings. Anton Corbijn's DVD Some Yoyo Stuff and a spoken word/ solo singing CD included as well. A lovingly-produced tribute to the strange, singular vision of the late American artistic pioneer.
