"Mr. Van Buskirk" written in ink on front wrap, some spotting on the wrappers, gift inscription in an unknown hand on first leaf: "With best wishes for 'Stalky' - Nan. These words were for singing and were sung - most of them. October 24, 1972." Libretto for an opera based on an early poem by Warren. According to Indiana University: "Professor Van Buskirk joined the voice faculty of the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in 1946, where he was chairman of the voice department from 1961 until his retirement in 1971." *OCLC* locates two copies with a different pagination (both at Indiana University) and what is likely a third copy with a variant title and different pagination dated in 1956 and noting Bloomington as place of publication (also held at Indiana).
