Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Not books but a pair of 12-inch, 33-1/3 rpm stereo vinyl record albums. "Greatest Hits" is MGM SE-4602, yellow label "Special Disc Jockey Record Not For Sale," near-mint vinyl in a very-good-plus cardboard jacket with an additional black-and-red-Day-Glo oval sticker to front panel reading "DJ / Not For Sale." Includes "Sky Pilot," "San Franciscan Nights," "River Deep, Mountain High," "To Love Somebody," etc., though not "When I Was Young." Also note the band re-formed at the end of 1966, without Alan Price, changing monikers to "Eric Burdon and the Animals" from simply "The Animals," and this MGM release does NOT offer such earlier R&B hits as "House of the Rising Sun", "We Gotta Get Out of This Place", "It's My Life", and "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood," all more likely to be found on the DIFFERENT (and earlier) MGM release, "Best of the Animals," 1966. OUR SECOND OFFERING, "The Animals On Tour," (the band's second U.S. release) is MGM SE-4281, classic British Invasion rock from 1965, very-good-plus vinyl in a very-good glossy color jacket with substantial ringwear and Previous Owner's name in ink to both sides of jacket. Alan Price, Eric Burdon & company offer Chuck Berry's "How You've Changed," John Lee Hooker's "Dimples" and "Boom Boom," Shirley & Lee's "Let the Good Times Roll," "She Said Yeah" (credited to "McDaniel"), the boys' own "I'm Crying," six others. The pair of Animals LPs from the 1960s now reduced from $28.
