This is a 395 pp. anthology of essays on early Atlantic Canada "The Collapse of the Beothuk World" Ralph Pastore "Indian Policy in Colonial Nova Scotia, 1783-1871" is a 29 page article inside the book. It deals with the Loyalists and the government and the treaties (Mainly shameful) with the Micmacs. Talks of Mohawks and other native people. Basque Fishermen Also a dozen other colonial essays, many on the Loyalists. Very good shape. Clean free of writing. NOT a institution book.

This set is from the library of noted Canadian historian Stephen Kenny, with his signature at the head of the half-title in both volumes. Else internally fine; tight, bright, and clean.
