    Trade Paperback. Condition: Good. First Edition. 192 Pages. Yellow plastic spiral binding that allows book to lay flat when open. Missing bottom ring. No other defects noted and the interior recipe pages are flawless. Dedicated to Hazel Vance who was the superintendant of the Women's Center which is now known as the Creative Arts center. The recipes in this book are a compilation from the various food competitions in the 1983-1984 State Fairs. Linda Jaramillo, Los Lunas High School Home Economics Teacher, and her students proof read and double checked many of these recipes. Each of the more than 350 recipes here are attributed to the cook. Contents: Candy, Cookies, Bread, Chile Dishes, Pies, Quilters Quickies, and All Others. There are photographs of the Commissioners - Chairman Odis Echols, J.T.Turner Moriarty, Jennie Day Secretary, Benny Atencio Santo Domingo, Joe Torrez Angel Fire, Dean Butler Eagle Nest, and Ina Wilcher Dora. In addition there are photographs of Steven Anaya Manager, Rose Ann Porter, David Oakeley, Allen Mosley, and Nina Pike. This book is the first and only Fair Cook Book as of 2017.

This is a compilation of selected ribbon winners for 1983 and 1984 State Fair Home Arts Division and other selected recipes that truly represent New Mexico at its best. Steve Anaya was the State Manager for those years. There are photographs of the seven members of the 1986 State Fair Commission of which Odis Echols was the Chairman. There are also photographs of the five members of the Administration of which Steven Anaya was the Manager. There are recipes for Candy, Cookies, Bread, Chile Dishes, Cakes, Pies, Quilters Quickies, and Others. All recipes are accredited. Some examples are Jalapeno Cornbread by Inez Mortley, Sopaipillas by Lue Young, Carne Adovado by Star Himes, Red Cherry Pie by Janice Bingham and many more.
