The top inch and a half of cloth spine edge is chipped and missing; the larger part of the gilt blocked title to spine chipped off. Some much more mild chipping to cloth at board edge and corners. Original endpages clean and intact with no splitting. Collated and complete. Would benefit from professional rebacking/recasing; still a clean and solidly bound copy of an exceptionally uncommon and quite significant book in the history of medicine. Contents VG with binding externals only Fair to Good.
