Covers in excellent shape with slightest rubbing to tail of spine; black lettering on cover bright as new. [See image.] Interior is crisp and clean. Contains a discussion of the life of John Sergeant and the text of a letter by him to a 'Learned Cartesian.' Bradish writes: "Perhaps there are few names in the history of philosophy as little known as that of John Sergeant. . . . I resurrect him . . . with the hope that his criticism of Descartes and Locke will aid in piecing together the mosaic of philosophical thought."
