Internally Fine. NO owner's name or bookplate. Pages are crisp, clean and unmarked - apparently never read. A magnificent collection of books, autographs and documents, mostly relating to the French Revolution. These are Volumes 2 and 3, both published 1931. (Volume 1, listing Thacher's incunabula, was published 16 years earlier and is not offered here). Top edges gilt. The two volumes are uniformly bound in the original tan cloth, with brown morocco leather spines stamped in bright gold. The leather is well preserved, retaining most of its original new polished leather gloss. There are small shadows on the spines where something (a private label?) was removed. Cloth corners of the cover are a little bumped, but NO pages are affected (i.e. there are NO page creases). PHOTOS UPON REQUEST. 7.25" wide by 10.25" tall. Oversize Hardcover.
