There is foxing here and there throughout the book and the text and illustrations are generally age-toned, clean and unmarked. At pages adjacent to page 162 and that page, near the center of the book, it a butterfly may have been pressed.The dust jacket is in very good condition with a darkened spine. The original price is on the front flap. Includes 45 plates" reproduced from life in the natural colors. The authors were professors at Cornell University in the early 20th century. Anna Comstock was and author, illustrator, environmentalist and the first female Professor at Cornell University. Please see all images.
