Condition: Good+. 6th printing (1st-1965). xvii+636, occ. text figs; small sig.initials top half-title (no endpapers issued) otherwise internally clean, tight & unmarked but covers, though clean, have fairly extensive slight rubbing to edges & extremeties. As well as Psychology the pre-1900 readings include numerous papers on physiology, neurology and philosophy. Nothing later than 1920s but handy compendium of classic papers. Condition: VG-. 1st ed. f/piece portrait photo of Margaret Floy Washburn+unpag.prelims+442+(2, notices); ex-New College Oxford library but markings confined to fr. pastedown and recto fr. endpaper, comprising heraldic plate on the former, three numbers, sm.rectanguler stamp and cancellatiob stamp to plate, this may be one a limited special run as verso t.p. has 'No. 100' inscribed below copyright date; no other internal marks, otherwise internally clean with good end-gutters. Red cloth covers generally clean bar a few very sm.surface marks but top spine sl. rubbed and spine somewhat dull with a sm.whitish lib.label ghost at bottom. Contributors included many major names from the period: Calkins, Cannon, Dodge, Dunlap, Jastrow, Pillsbury, Ruckmick, Seashore Thordike, Warren, Woodworth and Yerkes among them, plus a Washburn Bibliography 1894-1927 by H.K.Mull.
