20 x 20 cm. Schönes Portrait des, neben Bowie wichtigsten Vertreters des Glam-Rock, im Hintergrund ein Plakat von T. Rex. - "Jorgen Angel (born in 1951 in Copenhagen, Denmark) has been a photographer in the music industry since the late sixties up til the early eighties. He has provided photos for innumerable magazines, album covers, books in Scandinavia and elsewhere. Jorgen Angel has taken his photos all over Scandinavia, Great Britain and The United States - at concerts, press receptions, exclusive sessions or on the road with the bands. Jorgen Angel's art has its strength in the warm relation he developed with the objects of his photography. He would follow his work to obscure striptease shows with Alice Cooper, at the private homes of bands like The Who, Roxy Music, Pretty Things and Uriah Heep, or go with Arthur Brown to the countryside to get his much appreciated photographs" (C. Rasmussen). - Auf der Rückseite von J. Angel signiert. - Dazu: Welch, Chris and Simon Napier-Ball. Marc Bolan. Born to Boogie. London, Nomis Productions Ltd. 1982. 4°. 128 S. mit meist ganzs. Abb. Farbig illustr. Kartonumschlag. Sprache: englisch.

[ARTWORK] Three-tone monochrome print pulled on hand-made ivory art paper. One of twenty-two numbered copies signed by lithographer Ashley Lilley in pencil to lower margin. Image size 55 x 58.5cm, overall size 73 x 70cm, ready for framing. Rear-view version, in fine condition. A striking work, based on the cover of the T. Rex album 'The Slider' (1972), the photographs for which were credited to Ringo Starr although likely taken by producer Tony Visconti. This is a revision of Lilley's original concept circa 2001, now with slightly different colour on a white ground.

[ARTWORK] A matching pair of three-tone monochrome prints pulled on heavyweight hand-made ivory art paper. One of ten copies, each signed by lithographer Ashley Lilley in artist's pencil to the lower left margin, edition hand-numbered to the right margin. Image size 55 x 58.5cm, overall size 73 x 70cm, ready for framing. Fine / as new. A striking, interpretive work, showing T-Rex founder, frontman and mainstay Marc Bolan, with percussionist Mickey Finn. Finn joined Bolan in 1969, replacing Steve Peregrine Took in the Tolkien-inspired psychedelic folk duo Tyrannosaurus Rex. Their final LP under this name appeared in March 1970 and by October 1970 they had shortened their name to T. Rex and released the breakthrough single 'Ride A White Swan'. Soon after they expanded to a full four-piece band, recorded 'Electric Warrior' and spearheaded the Glam Rock movement.
