Dark gray cloth with gilt on the spine, and gilt design on the front cover; unclipped, color-printed design dustjacket, with an Aaron Bohrod painting on the front panel, drawings & other illustrations on spine & back panel. The dustjacket shows light edge wear, age-related tanning to margins; the portfolio/folder shows some crimping, tanning to the edges. Inscribed and signed to author, publisher & bookseller, Bill Targ (1907-99), on the front free endpaper: "To old friend and book connoisseur (with trepidation) Bill Targ--and with the best wishes of [signed] Aaron Bohrod.
