This copy belonged to Ted Ambrose, a senior draughtsman for the film,with his name on the front cover below the handwritten notation ÒNo. 52.Ó. About fine with some minor handling. Mountains of the Moon tells the story of the 1857-1858 journey of Richard Francis Burton and John Hanning Speke in their expedition to Central Africa, which culminated in SpekeÕs discovery of the source of the Nile River and led to a bitter rivalry between the two men. The film was directed by Bob Rafelson and stars Patrick Bergin as Burton and Iain Glen as Speke, along with Richard E. Grant, Fiona Shaw, John Savident, Peter Vaughan, Adrian Rawlins, and Delroy Lindo as an African whom the explorers meet along the way.
