Gift inscription written neatly in fountain pen. Covers had some soiling and spine is sunned. No tears noted on the pages (which are a thick supple… paper, but some of them have some fingermarks/light tan stains. Text and illustrations are totally legible. Sorry, NO DUST JACKET. The book was published by E. P. Dutton & Co., Inc. in 1939 and is a stated First Edition. It's an ex-library copy and only in good condition with library markin…gs, library wear including occasional soiling (very little in this book) where little hands may not have been completely clean when turning the page. I guess this indicates the book was popular . . . and does add a touch of nostalgia. It has no dust jacket.
