Two elephant folios: Volume 1 issued 1955 (being the first book ever produced by the publisher) & volume 2 (The Gallicas) issued 1957; both issued as limited editions with 2160 copies made. Both of these volumes remain unnumbered. Each volume includes 8 colour…photo-litho reproductions from Charles Raymond. Both volumes remain crisp and clean with light age toning, with few a few spots of foxing to the endpapers and first and final few leaves. Vol. 1 has slight foxing to the frontispiece and vol. 2 has a single spot to two plates; all other plates remain free from any marks. The DJs are lightly bumped at the extremities and lightly marked with some light foxing; they have long been protected inside clear removable covers. Overall a lovely set. Please note this package weighs over 3kg and may require an extra postage charge for our overseas customers.
