This six volume edition has collected most of the unpublished letters (1784-1821) of Hester Lynch Piozzi to a large group of correspondents, friends, children, scholars, actresses, servants, lawyers and business acquaintances. This work presents both sides of the correspondences in whole or part. Each volume is bound in black cloth, spines lettered in gilt, all volumes fine to near fine with volume 5 having a small rub mark to upper board, all in dust jackets: Vol. 1-1784-1791 has a faded spine and a few very tiny edge tears; Vol. 2-1792-1798 very light wear to spine ends and along bottom edge; volume 3-1799-1804 is rubbed along the edges; volume 4-1805-1810 tiny spots of rubbing, vol. 5-1811-1816 has light wear to spine ends and a tiny edge tear. and the last volume, 6 is fine. A very handsome set from the library of both the associate editor and his wife who did the introduction to volumes 5-6. O.M. and Gay Brock with just their last name written in three volumes.…
