Caracterizada por su insuperable calidad y cantidad de números, iniciada en Febrero de 1945 y dirigida por los ilustres Jorge Luis Borges y Adolfo Bioy Casares. Su título evoca el anillo del infierno que Dante reservó a los violentos en La Divina Comedia. Se caracterizó por las ilustraciones geométricas de sus cubiertas, obra de José Bonomi (en la edición americana, y Llobera en la española).
