Dust jacket spine and front panel retain bright color to illustration; small chip at heel of front flap fold; a few small nicks as well as short tears and creases at edges; very… faint moisture staining to front panel with moisture staining slightly more obvious upon white rear panel; lower corner of front flap creased; dj now presented in a mylar Brodart protector. Reddish-brown boards; front board and spine decorated with black lettering as well as geometric pattern upon spine; faint white discoloration to rear board. Dark maroon top edge. Endpaper maps of Spindrift Island; frontispiece illustration. Interior leaves are bright and clean. A very good+ copy in a very good- dust jacket. Authorship of the first three books in the Rick Brant series is attributed to Harold Goodwin and Peter J. Dust jacket with bright color pictorial front panel and spine (illustration credited to "Tossey" at front panel bottom left); some rubbing and foxing to panels and flaps… with short tears, minor chipping, and nicks to edges. Reddish-brown boards; black lettering and decoration to front board and spine; light bumping to spine ends. Reddish-brown top edge; light foxing/toning and minor surface abrasions to fore-edge and bottom edge. With endpaper illustrations of Spindrift Island and a b/w frontispiece illustration. Brown staining to pages 4-9 with a few other scattered small stains and foxing to other leaves, the majority of which remain quite clean. Binding is firm. Else a very good- copy in a very good- dust jacket of the tenth book in the popular Rick Brant science fiction adventure series for children.
