Entries provide scholarly cataloguing, provenance, exhibition history, literature references, and detailed commentary. Per Bjurström (1928-2017) was a distinguished Swedish art historian and curator associated with Stockholm's Nationalmuseum, particularly known for his scholarship on European drawings and prints. Ulf Cederlöf and Börje Magnusson likewise contributed extensively to the study and cataloguing of the Nationalmuseum's collections. Together they helped bring one of Scandinavia's most important holdings of Old Master drawings to an international audience through this exhibition and catalogue.
