Entire: 14" x 19-5/8" The lithograph shows the Monitor and the Merrimack firing at each other during their historically important battle of 9 March 1862, with other named ships [Cumberland -- Newport News -- Jamestown & Yorktown -- Congress -- Sewell's Point -- Minnesota] in the background, with the Cumberland sinking on the left [the first ship sunk by the Merrimack, i.e., CSS Virginia], the two having engaged the day prior.
