The author and the time of the writing of this book had been teaching for 13 years, and had also hosted cookery segments on radio and food reviews and cook book reviews for a major newspaper. These recipes, came from her classes, and were favourites. When setting out the recipes, she has included some of the different basic culinary principles which are used.
