Hardcover. Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, red cloth boards with gilt on front and spine. Boards are clean but a bit toned and edges are a bit dusty. The internal binding is good and text pages are tight. There are no bookplates, no remainder marks, no library markings, nothing underlined, nothing torn or loose. The only evidence of handwriting is on the front end page where you can tell that something was written on the top third of the page and then later erased. There is no dust jacket but the reason this book looks like it has been packed away for the last 50+ years is because it was. There is slight toning to the edges of the text pages and the pastedowns and opposite end pages have a bit more toning present.
