English Pottery: Its Development from Early Times to the end of the Eighteenth Century by Bernhard Rackham and Herbert Read, 1st edition, 1924 with an appendix on the Wrotham Potters by Dr J W L Glaisher. Published by Ernest Benn Ltd, London 1924. Brown cloth over boards with gilt lettering to spine. Very good overall. Some very minor shelfwear and bumping to cover. Small booksellers sticker to front paste down and small endpaper split at joint. Binding firm throughout. Text pages very good with occasional spotting and minor age discoloration. A beautiful book in this series by Benn. We also currently have a number of Chinese art titles in the same series for sale. A substantial volume. xxiv + 143pp + 115 plates, some in colour, with printed tissue guards and colour frontispiece. Dimensions: 290mm high x 230mm wide x 55mm deep. More photos on request.
