Sie stellt dar, wie im deutschen Kaiserreich und in der Weimarer Republik jüdische Mathematiker in allen Bereichen der mathematischen Kultur zunehmend eine tragende Rolle spielten, und sie erinnert an Emigration, Flucht und Ermordung nach 1933.Die Ausstellung, die auch auf bisher unveröffentlichtem Material und neuer historischer Forschung beruht, macht vor allem zwei Punkte deutlich. Erstens gab es im hier behandelten Zeitraum wahrscheinlich keinen Bereich der akademischen Kultur der Mathematik, in welchem jüdische Mathematiker nicht tätig waren. Von der Forschung und Lehre über die Mitwirkung im Publikationswesen und in Organisationen wie der Deutschen Mathematiker-Vereinigung bis hin zum öffentlichen Diskurs über die Mathematik wirkten sie in Kaiserreich und Weimarer Republik Seite an Seite mit ihren nichtjüdischen Kollegen. Wie diese und gemeinsam mit ihnen prägten sie die deutschsprachige mathematische Kultur ihrer Zeit.
