Hardcover. Condition: Very Good-. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket. No signatures. Moderate rubbing and marks to spine and boards. Inner hinges split at gutters. Some foxing.; Second edition, corrected. xvii, [1], 288 pages + 15 plates (including frontispiece) + 12 in-text wood engravings. Contemporary green cloth boards with gilt title on spine. Page dimensions: 231 x 152mm. There are two portrait plates, and 13 plates showing views and scenes. The thirteen plates are numbered from 1 to 12, but there are two numbered plate 7. The first plate 7 is titled: "Papetoai, Island of Eimeo", the second is titled: "Water Spout seen from Raiatea". Provenance: from the collection of Arthur Thomas Pycroft (1876-1971). ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall.
