Large quarto 24-page generic concert program in glossy wraps for the touring performances of the Norwegian operatic soprano, "Presented under the management of NBC Artists Service . . . Copyright 1936 National Broadcasting Company," and featuring many good-sized glossy B&W photos of the star in her various dramatic roles, as well as a few "candids" with her family and skiing with her husband, Henry Johansen. (pp 9-10 is a half-page stub, as made.) Inserted is a single sheet program, 7 X 9-1/2 inches, itemizing the Norwegian songs (Grieg) and other selections from Beethoven, Brahms, and Strauss, concluding with two arias (ariae?) from Wagner's Tannhauser, to be performed at the Southern California Philharmonic Auditorium May 3, 1938. (Verso of the single sheet lists other artists appearing in the 1938-1939 series, including Heifetz, Iturbi, Richard Crooks, and Anderson.) "Very good" with some small edge tears to the slightly oversized glossy wraps and some minor crinkling to the laid-in single sheet. Reduced from $72.
