Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. When Religions Contribute to Education for a more Fraternal Humanity What resources are religions endowed with to educate for a more fraternal humanity? To respond to this question, a study day was organised on February 24th 2020 at the Pontifical Gregorian University and in collaboration with the PISAI amongst representatives of various religions, including a Christian, a Muslim, a Jew, a Hindu, a Buddhist and an exponent of the traditional African religions. This volume of the Series Interreligious and Intercultural Investigations brings together the conferences of the experts who have reflected on the role of religions in education and formation in an increasingly globalized and complex world where diversity presents itself as a real challenge for living together. Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. One of the key words in Pope Francis' Encyclical Fratelli tutti on fraternity and social friendship is "dream." He begins with an invitation: "Let us dream then, as a single human family" (No. 8). He ends with a prayer: "Inspire in us a dream of renewed encounter, dialogue, justice and peace" (No. 287). To dream, for Pope Francis, is to practice hope. His goal in Fratelli tutti is precisely "to take up and discuss many new paths of hope" (No. 54). In celebration of the first anniversary of Fratelli tutti, the Pontifical Gregorian University, in collaboration with Georgetown University, organized a series of conferences from October to December 2021, aimed at disseminating and deepening understanding of the important message of the Encyclical. Speakers from the various Faculties, Institutes, and Centers of the Gregorian University reflect, in this book, on various "paths of hope" presented from the point of view of their respective disciplines. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. Books on Demand GmbH, Überseering 33, 22297 Hamburg 268 pp. Französisch.

Brossura. Condition: nuovo. 39pp. Estratto da "ORIENTALIA CHRISTIANA PERIODICA" 78 (2012). Punto metallico --- The Syro-Oriental Metropolitan Bishop Elias of Nisibis (975-1046) was not only a remarkable theologian and also the most important Christian Arab author with regard to Christian-Muslim relations. He was, first of all, a pastor. Among the sapiential works written by our bishop in Arabic we know, for the moment, of just one manuscript of the song intitled Tasbíüat Mâr Íliyyâ Muýrân Naúíbín, which we were able to consult at the Bibliothèque Nationale of Paris. This manuscript is published here for the first time along with a French trans- lation. The Song of Elias of Nisibis, which is part of a prayer book from the Melkite Church, gives us a first insight into the spirituality of Elias, who is especially known for his love of demonstrative syllogism and clarity of language.
