The book is 5 1/8" by 7 1/4" and has 48 pages with black-and-white illustrations throughout. In addition to being a great example of an older science book specifically designed for children this is a piece of Americana as well. It is the fourteenth book in a Children's Science Series that was "compiled and written by the Federal Writers' Project, Work Projects Administration, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania." Thank you!
