Softcovers. Condition: Very Good Plus. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Barry Burman (illustrator). First Edition. 1974. First edition limited to 500 numbered copies, of which this is number 192. Unpaginated by 13 pages, including 3 full-page illustrations. The Battle of Edgehill was a cold weather affair of hungry, ill-trained and badly equipped men. The lasdt days of such men were days of marching on empty bellies to die in a cause they barely understood. The frequent reports of hauntings and the atmosphere of this quiet stretch of Warwickshire holds have exercised the imaginations of all who visit it. The poems and drawings in this book are separate responses to the fear and terror the fields of Edgehill have witnessed. The book is bound in the original brown stiff card covers with black titling on the front. It is in excellent condition with a gentle crease across the bottom corner of the front cover. The contents are tight and clean and the front free endpaper has been flat signed by the author and the illustrator. The unclipped dustwrapper is very good with some shelf wear and light soiling. Signed by Author(s).
