Above the printed name on the bookplate the phrase 'Compliments of' has either been written in or else it was pre-printed on the bookplate. Beneath the bookplate is a small purple rubberstamp with the name Remington Kellogg, who was the Ass't Secretary of the Smithsonian. Finally, this volume comes from the collection of Dr. Thomas Lovejoy, who was a passionate book collector as well as a renowned biologist.
