Softcover. Condition: Very Good. An assumed first edition inscribed and signed by the author. (See additional pix) The soft paper wrappers of this scare item shows some wear with some scathed but not prominent smudging to the front and back covers. The edges show modest wear with two corners every slightly wrinkled. There is a secondary creasing beyond the spine crease itself but again this is not prominent. The cover wrappers is still very tight and secure but there is one eighth inch nick to the spine. The interior of the book is in very good condition with the text and photos still bright and clear. (See extra photo) This book deals with the history of the Beale Air Force Base in Yuba County California, and the neighboring areas. The books presents information on early settlement in the area and then the establishment of Camp Beale at the start to WWII. The base would remain an important military installation after WWII as the air force continued to use it for the stationing of long-range bombing forces of B-52's and then the long-range reconnaissance U-2's and SR-71's. 133 pages.
