Book is covered in durable gray cloth and has a navy blue stamped title and decoration on front; has gray topstain; spine has a PARTIAL paper label in poor condition which is an indication of a first printing as all other printings have stamped title; spine is tanned (SEE SCAN). Charming endpapers front and back are decorated with pictures by Cassandra Austen: 12 color portraits in circles representing all the characters mentioned throughout the book plus an extra circle with the initials J.A (SEE SCAN). All pages are effected by slight tanning. This is the first collection of Austen's juvenalia, and includes the title work, "Lesley Castle," "The History of England," a "Collection of Letters," and "Scraps." Lovely little book of the 14 year old Jane Austen's work.
