There is also an inked note on the front pastedown page from a former owner regarding the author's signature. This book is in Very Good to Near Very Go…od+ condition. The book and its contents are in generally clean, bright condition. The book covers have some ground-in dirt and spotting. There is some beginning nicking and edge wear to the edges of the book covers along with some very beginning fraying. The text pages are cleaning and bright. "Yellow Crest is a little white boy adopted by Swift Eagle, leader of the fierce Chumash tribe, and brought up with the Chief's own son, Little Wolf. The setting is California, when that state was still part of Spain. A very nice set with an interesting provenance.
