Everyman's Library t.p. +decorated series t.p. + xvi (inc all prelims) + 216, very light yellow decorated endpapers; 1975=dated sig. to fr. end-paper, BuddhistSociety of London's mstamp, crossed out lib. plate, 2 numbers and 3 red cancellation stampsto fr, pastedown, further5 stamp bottom fr. end-paper, first t.p. has'Bequeathed by Lady Holmwood 1941' inscription to top, a small red stamp of an elephant with howdah and further Buddhist Society stamp at bottom. with recurs yet again at end text - their extensive ownership marks surely indicate an oddly unBuddhistattachment to material possessions. Undated but presumably 1920s or 1930s, apparently a scarce edition in the more up-market Everyman's Library binding options. The first edition of this translation, by same publisher, was however in 1912 according to Ryder's Wikipedia entry but 1920 on the link provided with this. While affecting condition rating these markings perhaps add int, so possibly a 1st. rest, especially as they seem to have taken the trouble to add the Society's gilt name to front. 11cm x 17.5 cm.
