Cartonnage à la Bradel crème orné de l'éditeur, un visage de femme coiffée à la garçonne au centre du premier plat surmonté du t…itre imprimé en rouge et vert. (cartonnage un peu frotté et bruni, une petite auréole claire au bas du premier plat, deux coins légèrement tassés, présence de quelques rousseurs plutôt pâles dans l'ensemble et cantonnées sur les feuillets de texte sinon intérieur frais). Magnifique livre illustré de dix dessins en hors-texte de Guy Arnoux, tirés sur vergé gris, entièrement coloriés au pochoir, dans le goût des années 20 représentant chacun une femme de ce temps : l'inconstante, la danseuse éperdue. l'intéressée, l'indifférente agrémentent ces Réflexions de René Kerdyk . Tirage limité à 500 exemplaires, un des 450 sur vergé numérotés (n° 83). Bel exemplaire.

The 10 pochoir plates by Guy Arnoux are accompanied by humorous text from Rene Kerdyk. A stunning example of this beautiful decorative work depicting female…characters in society in Gay Paris in the 1920 s. Pochoir is a method of printing using stencils and was popular in Europe, particularly France, around the turn of the century. It is a very labour intensive and expensive technique, which produces an image that is often indistinguishable from the artist's hand-painted original.
