What makes this book unique is the inscription on the front end page: "To my friend and good companion of the 'movies'. Nancy P. Ellicott - (unknown word) Adelaide Nutting - Ogunquit - August 1932". Both Nancy Ellicott and Adelaide Nutting were noted professionals in the medical field. Nancy started at Johns Hopkins Hospital and for her work at the War Demonstration Hospital on the Rockefeller campus during World War I, she was awarded a Medal of Honor from the Minister of Hygiene of France. Nurse Nutting was also from Johns Hopkins and also was active during WWI. For her wartime efforts, she was awarded the Liberty Service Medal from the National Institute of Social Sciences.
