Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Walle Conoly (illustrator). 1st Edition. Luke and the Van Zandt County War was written by Judith MacBain Alter and illustrated by Walle Conoly. The book was published by Texas Christian University Press in 1984 and appears to be a First Edition but is not specifically stated as such. It is a Sundance Book. It IS an ex-library copy and both the book and the dust jacket are in very good condition but for the library markings. There is very little wear to both the book and the dust jacket. The book is 6 1/4" by 9 1/4" and has 132 pages with black-and-white illustrations scattered throughout the book. "Post-Civil War tensions in East Texas and a little known historical incident form the background for this tale of two totally different teenagers who must come to terms with each other and with their lives." Thank you!!
