He is also the Study Director of the Gallup Organization, where he has conducted surveys for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Philadelphia Bulletin, and many others. Albert H. Cantril is an independent consultant in political and social research. After receiving his Ph.D. in Political Science from MIT, he joined the White House staff, serving as research aide to Bill D. Moyers. He has been a consultant to the former Bureau of the Budget and to the Division of Behavioral Science of the National Academy of Science. He also served for two years in the Department of State.
