"Dr. Thayer" is written on all three edges of the leaves, the bottom edge also has "U. V. M. Medical College 1860". Samuel White Thayer was a professor of General and Special Anatomy and on…UVM's medical faculty list for 1864, he is second - after the President. There is also a partial bookplate of Thayer's inside the front cover. The leather is scuffed and the front hinge has been repaired; both front endpapers have been removed. The textblock is solid and in good condition.
