The Plate volume has been bound with lined paper in between the plates, p…resumably for the previous owner (D Keningale or AF Brazenor) to write notes in. These are all blank with no writing in. Scarce 2 volume set with good clean plates, Palaearctic spelt Paearctic in this 2 volume set. Approximately 13 inches tall. Condition Report Externally Spine fair to good condition gilt titles, five raised gilt bands, marks and scratches. Joints good condition gently rubbed and worn. Corners good condition gently bumped and worn. Boards good condition leather and buckram boards. Page edges good condition all clean and gemtly tanned. See above and photos. Internally Hinges good condition intact. Paste downs good condition terracotta with bookplates to both. End papers good condition terracotta, signed, pencil marks and writing to plain end papers.
