Condition: Good. 1957. No Edition Remarks. 346 pages. No dust jacket. This is an ex-Library book. Red cloth boards with gilt lettering. Library copy, with expected inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Pages and binding are presentable with no major defects. Minor issues present such as mild cracking, inscriptions, inserts, light foxing, tanning and thumb marking. Ink stamp inscription to top and bottom edges textblock. Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some light marking and sunning. Gilt lettering is darkened.

Berkman (Hebrew University) with to the Kunian's, "I also add our thanks". The work itself is an expansion of the author's doctoral thesis at Harvard Law School. Levontin served as Dean of the Faculty of Law at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He also served on Israel's delegation at the United Nations.For the Kunians, World War II and the holocaust were the impetus for what became a life's work: the founding and the welfare of the State of Israel.
