Excellent association copy. Winfield J. Davis (1851-1909) was a California politician and writer, who was also the historian for the Sacramento Society of California Pioneers. Robert Ernest Cowan (1862-1942) wrote bibliographies of California history and the Pacific Coast, and worked as a librarian for William Andrews Clark, Jr. Constitution and By-laws by the long running historical group who from its founding has worked tirelessly to celebrate and preserve the memory of the California Gold Rush era.

Features an early role by Robert Englund (Fred "Freddy" Krueger in the "Nightmar on Elm Street" films). An often overlooked entry in the late cycle of film noir. Duncan Hannah was a key figure in the burgeoning New York underground arts scene, befriending Andy Warhol and his superstars, Lou Reed, Allen Ginsberg, Patti Smith, Salvador Dali, and many others. A graduate of the Parsons School of Design, his paintings were exhibited in the influential 1980 Times Square Show alongside work by Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat, and several of his paintings are held in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Loosely based on F.L. Green's 1945 novel "Odd Man Out." A Black militant intends to rob a factory payroll in order to aid his imprisoned revolutionaries, but through an unexpected turn of events he is forced to rely on a young social worker to help pull off the heist. 7.5 x 9.25 inches.
