Firmly bound, clean with no writing inside. Princess Beatrice was the youngest child of Queen Victoria (1857-1944).

A fine book only marred by a very slight tearing to the stitching on the inside cover hinge and a 1cm tear on the front of the DJ. Slightly rubbed on spine, otherwise excellent condition.

Gilt-decorated Cloth. Condition: Very Good. Unpaginated. Publisher's gilt decorated cloth with lettering and decoration to upper board and spine; all edges gilt. Cloth in much better condition than usual, with only a couple of marks to upper board and minor wear and bumping to extremities. A few names written in in ink at certain dates and scattered foxing. Gilt-detailed colour plates introduce each month with poems by various poets including Longfellow, Wordsworth and Morris. Blank alphabeticised index at rear for adding contact details. Princess Beatrice spent 30 years editing the journals of her mother, Queen Victoria and she designed this book. 4to.
